How to apply Allwood Italian PU?

The Base, Hardener and Thinner has to be mixed in the recommended ratio. The mix needs to be poured into a spray gun and applied uniformly over the wooden surface. For more information you can refer the product information sheet.

How long after mixing of base and hardener should the product be applied?

Allwood Italian PU should be applied within 3 hrs of mixing the base and hardener.

What is the recoating time for Allwood Italian PU?

The recoating time between coats is 4-5 hours.

What are the precautions that need to be taken while using the product?

Safety Glasses, Gloves and Face Mask should be used while applying the product. Avoid contact with eye and skin.

How many coats of PU should be applied?

Depending on the surface 2-3 coats of Sealer and 2-3 coats of topcoat should be applied to get the desired finish.

What is better - polyurethane or varnish?

Polyurethane is a 2-component product and has better performance in terms of hardness, stain resistance, film thickness compared to Varnish.
